Batata + Veggie Porridge

Batata’s are also known as sweet potatoes. When cooked, they are firmer than the traditional american sweet potatoes. They are not as orange in color, their skin is more reddish-purple than brown, and they are typically sold in asian stores.

Batatas remind me a lot of african yams. I fry them, boil them, and roast in the oven just like african yams.
