Turk & Chard Balls
- 2 lbs ground turkey
- 2 large red onions (pureed in a processor)
- 1 bunch swiss chard (pureed in a processor)
- 2 tbsp slap ya mama
- 2 tbsp black pepper
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp curry
- 2 tbsp thyme
- 1 tbsp basil
- 1 tbsp rosemary
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 2 egg whites
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
- Heat the oil in a pan on the stove top.
- Add the pureed onions and cook for 7 minutes while stirring continuously.
- After 7 minutes, onions should have turned brownish color.
- Remove from heat and leave to cool for about 15 minutes.
- Now add the browned onions and all other ingredients into a bowl and combine thoroughly.
- Using an ice-cream scoop, scoop balls of the mixture and place on a lined baking sheet.
- Cook in the oven for about 30 minutes or until the balls are cooked through.
