Ingredients
  • Fried Plantains
  • 6 cups of water
  • 5 pieces of salmon (gutted, cleaned, scaled, and cut steak style)
  • 5 large crab legs (cleaned)
  • 5 XL shrimps (cleaned and deveined)
  • 1 tbsp ginger
  • 2 tsp thyme
  • 1 tbsp fresh chopped sage
  • 1 tbsp fresh chopped curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp fresh chopped basil
  • 2 tbsp fresh chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 3 medium sized vine ripened tomatoes (chopped)
  • 1 medium onion (chopped)
Instructions
  1. Add the water, crab legs, salt, thyme, onions and tomatoes into a pot and cook on high heat for 15 mins.
  2. Stir soup, reduce heat to medium and taste for salt and pepper.
  3. Add more salt if necessary.
  4. Add fresh herbs and stir to distribute.
  5. Add the salmon, and shrimps. Cover the pot, and cook to 5 minutes or until the salmon is cooked (the fish goes from bright orange to muted or pale pinkish orange when it is cooked. it is also flaky).
  6. Turn off heat, and dish out soup.
  7. Top off the soup with fried plantains or croutons.
