The Ultimate Fisherman’s Soup

Ahhh… today was cold. It felt like January. I hope this weather is not a glimpse of what to expect in the winter.

This soup was the climax of my day today. Warm, herby, engaging most of our senses, and so delicious. The combination of fresh herbs, fresh salmon, and the subtle notes of heat from the cayenne was all i needed after work.

Since croutons are not encouraged in my latest diet, I used plantains instead. The plantains exceeded expectation. They did not get soggy, and provided an added layer of texture and taste.
