SS: This smells amazing. Can i taste?

Me: Of course! do you need to ask?

He goes ahead to try a spoon of steaming curry … shakes his head… smiles… and remarks

SS: This girl you like food sha!

Me: Is that a way of saying that the curry is great.

SS: It is amazing… good job.

I enjoyed it with balls of brown rice.

Thereafter, we sat on the balcony, and enjoyed the curry with some home made plantain chips. Crisp and dip, Curry Overload!

Ingredients
  • 2.2lbs chopped goat meat - washed
  • 5 cups of water
  • 1 medium onion - chopped
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp freshly minced ginger
  • 2 tsp crushed garlic
  • 2 tbsp jamaican curry powder
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 10 rosemary leaves
  • 2 tbsp freshly chopped parsley
  • 1 large green pepper chopped
  • 1 cup chopped carrots
  • 1 cup chopped celery
Instructions
  1. Add all ingredients except the vegetables into a pressure cooker and cook for about 45 minutes to an hour or until the meat is fall-off-the-bone soft.
  2. Add all other ingredients.
  3. Stir and cook on low heat for additional 10 minutes.
  4. Serve.

  1. awwww… our SS too likes food and sabi better ting. He got the girl and the good food. I haven’t had curried got in a while.. and this looks so good. I never add rosemary to mine. Will try next time i make it or is it just garnish?

    1. These days i add rosemary to most things even Jollof 🙂 I used rosemary to cook the curry and an additional branch for garnish.
